How do I know if I or my child needs to see a speech pathologist?

- Your child’s voice sounds different from other children’s e.g it sounds hoarse

How long does speech therapy take?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer – speech therapy in Sydney is personalised to your goals, age, and needs. Some patients attend for a few weeks to build specific skills, while others benefit from longer-term support. We’ll discuss your goals upfront, track progress along the way, and regularly review your plan so therapy stays focused and effective.
How do you measure progress?
We use ongoing observation, structured assessments, and parent or client feedback. Our team sets clear, individualised goals from the start and adjusts your speech therapy in Sydney to them as needed. You’ll receive consistent updates on what’s working and what we’re focusing on next.
Can I sit in on my child's session?
We generally encourage family involvement, especially for younger children, and for parents to help reinforce progress at home. You’re welcome to observe, ask questions, or join in during parts of the session.
In some cases, we may ask parents or carers to wait outside during the session to help your child focus and build independence. This is common for older children or those who engage better without a parent present.
We’ll provide a detailed update afterwards, and we’re happy to share strategies you can use at home to support your child’s progress. If needed, we can arrange periodic check-ins or invite you in for part of the session.
Do you accept NDIS participants?
Yes, NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) funds can be used for speech pathology services provided through telepractice. The NDIS acknowledges telepractice as a legitimate way to deliver essential services, ensuring that individuals can receive the support they need regardless of their location or mobility issues. This flexibility helps ensure consistent care.

Yes, sessions are available in-clinic in Randwick or online via Telehealth.
